When to Visit

The fishing season in Chile and Argentina runs from November through April.

The weeks before New Years can be some of the year’s best.  January and February see warm sun-filled days, plenty of terrestrials and fat trout.  We often visit smaller rivers for unique trophy opportunities in March and April.

What to Bring

We provide a comprehensive packing list prior to departure.

Guests carry their own rods, waders, and other fishing gear.  We supply all flies and terminal tackle.

Dress is casual and the summer weather unpredictable.  Good medical facilities can be found throughout Patagonia, but if you need any special medications please be sure to bring it along.

Getting Here

Flights are relatively easy and time zones nearly the same as the continental USA.

We work with an excellent travel agent in the States if you’d like assistance.  Most international travelers do not require an advance visa for travel to Chile or Argentina.

Guests generally arrive and depart via:  Balmaceda (BBA), Puertto Montt (PMC), or Chaiten (WCH).  Each require a connecting flight through Santiago (SCL).

If you overnight en route, we have fixers in Santiago and Puerto Montt (Puerto Varas) who will make necessary arrangements and transfers upon your request.

Trip Costs

The base price is US$ 7,950/person for two or more anglers traveling together on an exclusive 10 night/9 day trip.

The base price includes guides, transportation, meals, lodging, fishing permits, flies, terminal tackle, soft drinks, beer, and very good wines.  The base price does not include items such as international airfare, personal and trip insurance, visas, restaurant meals in town (should you choose) and gratuities (generally 10 – 15%).

Customization factors such as trip duration and number of participants may influence the base price.  Once we have finalized an itinerary with you, we will forward an invoice and request a 50%, non-refundable advance payment to hold your reservation. Payment in full due at least 120 days prior to departure.  All payments are made via our USA office.

Angler Numbers

Our trips are designed for individuals, friends or family traveling together.  Most trips have one to four anglers.  We will accommodate groups of six persons upon request.  If you wish to travel solo with a guide and crew, not a problem.  We will find a trip that fits your travel style.

Surface eating trout. Plenty of sunshine, wild flowers, and spectacular views. Thanks again for the great hospitality.
